Personally, my rhetorical reading consists of reading selections deeply in subject in order to get a good understanding from the reading. I try my best in reading constructively so i can build up good interpretations in what the author's intention of their work is. Reading Rhetorically for me means that I have to make sure I can find out the author's message of what they wrote in order for me to get a clear judgement from what ever it is that I am reading. However, I am aware that my Rhetorical skills are not the best, so i plan on improving them by making better hypothesis on my interpretations and sophisticationg the difficult texts that I come across.
The Rhetorical Strategies that I use in order to differentiate Writer-based and Reader-based prose are methods like Rhetorical Reading. Rhetorical Reading has helped me to receive a clear understanding in whatever text that I read so that means that I can easily interpret differences between meanings of words. This has benifited me by understanding that Writer-Based prose is a more self-centered type of writing to him/herself. Usually this writing is used by young students who have not yet learned how to write while being aware that someone is going to read and interpret their paper. That writing strategy however is known to be Reader-Based prose. Reading Rhetorically has helped me understand meanings of these two ways of writing. The Rhetorical skills that I can work on as a writer is being more concerned about the readers before i begin my work.
